Viva Vermont By: Melody Carlson

Viva Vermont

So far in my amazing book I am on page 63 out of 215. The Genre of my book is realistic fiction. In my book there are lots of very exciting moments all I can say is that the girls better watch their backs. The plot this far into the book is that the Carter house girls plan to have Halloween party. During the party is DJ in for a surprise? You will just have to ready it and find out.
Overall in this book I have enjoyed reading it, and finding out what the girls are in for with ever adventure. Are the Carter house girls ever at ease? The only thing I didn't really like about this book so far is how at the end of the chapter they make you wait to read  the next most exciting thing in the next. This book really makes you think about life and how it reflects on real teenagers. This book reflects on real life situations and how the girls stick to gather to over come the issue together.
A quote from my book that I really like would have to be one that DJ said. "I don't know who to believe now," this quote is on page 42. I think that this is a good quote because, it is letting the reader think about what they would do if they where in her shoes. It also has the reader think how they feel about the situation and the issue. I would recommend this book to anyone who is in need of a good book.

Mixed Bags by: Melody Carlson

Mixed Bags

My book Mixed Bags by Melody Carlson is very good. The main character DJ is the granddaughter of a fashion forword grandmother who expects more than her granddaughter can put up with. This book is a story of a few girls who are living together and are learning how to become debutantes. In this book I enjoy the way the author describes the characters. So when the book is done introducing the new characters I feel like I know them myself. I'm on page 101, the genre of my book is realistic fiction. One of the quotes DJ said is "Oh, and you think you can do better? Better at tennis than me." I think that this is an important quote because DJ is standing up for herself.
In this book mixed bags I didn't really enjoy how the character Taylor treats DJ. She is one of the meanest girl I have even read about. On the other hand I like how DJ stands up for herself and stay true to herself. This book is the perfect quick read in it you get a little romance a little commedy and just a good book. This book has a great hook I didn't want to stop reading it. Infotunately I had to so I could sleep but, I didn't want to!
